PARIS — Oct. 8, 2012 — Bangladesh Television has purchased a new 10kW VHF transmitter from Thomson Broadcast to improve its coverage to the eastern city of Rangamati and its surrounding region.

Thomson Broadcast has a long-standing relationship with Bangladesh Television, having supplied the majority of the network’s transmitters.

“Bangladesh Television has relied on Thomson Broadcast transmitters for many years, and we have great confidence in the technology and the service Thomson provides,” said BTV spokesperson.

Paris —Oct. 4, 2012 — Thomson Broadcast today announced that B&B TV Communication, the entity responsible for wireless-cable broadcasting of radio and television channels in Azerbaijan, has purchased Thomson’s latest DVB-T/DVB-T2 Elite 100 GreenPower transmitters. B&B TV will use the air-cooled transmitters to help introduce high-definition digital broadcasting to the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan.

PARIS — March 27, 2012 — Thomson Broadcast has hosted a successful test of the DVB-T2 Lite standard during the Plug Fest event at the company’s Conflans-Sainte-Honorine site. The event marks a significant stage in the validation of DVB-T2 Lite, which extends and improves the DVB-T2 standard’s performance for mobile reception.
