From 1,5KW to 10,2KW UHF DVB-T/DVB-T2 Ultra efficient GreenPower Transmitter

With a strong vision for the future, Futhura Plus GreenPower series features the most innovative technology of drain modulation to surpass energy and carbon footprint reduction directives and politics.

Thanks to the drain modulation technology Futhura Plus efficiency is 50% higher than the one of current market transmitters and a cut of around 40% of energy consumption is performed over complete transmitter lifecycle. As a key factor of this reduction, the drain modulation allows to modulate on real-time the transistor drain voltage according to the need in amplitude for the required output power. 

UHF wideband Futhura Plus GreenPower efficiency reaches up to 39% and a single 19”cabinet can feature a power density of up to 10,2kW in DVB/ DVB-T2 for a very low carbon footprint. Combined with advanced features such as standard, fully automatic, real-time Digital Adaptive Pre-correction (DAP) to correct linear and non-linear distortions, oustanding performance is guaranteed at any time.

Moreover reliability is reinforced by an operating transistor junction temperature lowered by 50°C thanks to the drain modulation. Less thermal stressed components allow longer life of the amplifiers. The service availability is also increased with a multi level redundancy at RF amplifier and transistor levels.

Thomson DVB-T2 support allows to deploy the first real cost-effective transmitter networks with initial or additional 3D/HD TV services.
