DCX Millennium Transmitter
Our DCX Millennium digital TV transmitter is known throughout the broadcast industry for its reliability and superior quality. It offers a high quality, clean design, and superior reliability that features complete flexibility and the latest technologies.
The Thomson DCX Millennium digital UHF transmitter is designed for modulation and broadcast of both DVB- and ATSC-compliant digital TV signals.
The transmitter features the ADAPT-IV digital exciter, supporting modulation and broadcast of ATSC-compliant, digital signals. It includes frequency-tolerance specification within 1 Hz and true frequency agility across the entire UHF band. The ADAPT-IV exciter is easily software upgradeable for ATSC’s A/153 Mobile DTV standard.
The ADAPT-IV exciter/modulator integrates Emmy® award-winning Digital Adaptive Precorrection (DAP) technology providing pinpoint performance accuracy. The transmitter combines the DAP technology with a low-distortion, high-efficiency design.
DAP technology provides digital correction of nonlinear distortions created by active amplifier devices and corrects linear distortions created by the transmitter's high-power passive RF system.
DCX Millennium transmitter incorporates total power management. This dual-DSP design uses advanced signal processing for power monitoring and control in the DCX transmitter. Therefore, it allows the widest dynamic range of VSWR fold back. And its ultra-linear average-power detection supplies the industry’s most accurate RF power metering.
